   Instructional Classes and Seminars

 

Whether you seek to make meditation part of your daily life or simply want
to learn more about this profound practice, we have instructional classes
to fit your needs.

Meditation is our specialty: It's the central component in nearly everything
we do at Ananda. The time-tested techniques we offer are grounded in
ancient traditions yet immediately practical for modern needs. Our meditation instructors have personally practiced these techniques every day (usually twice
a day) for at years. Some have been meditating for almost three decades and continually draw inspiration and guidance from others who have meditated for half a century.

We would love the opportunity to share this experience with you through
the following classes, most of which includes appropriate support materials.
Even if you've learned to meditate elsewhere, we also invite you participate in our
group meditations to support your ongoing practice.

  Meditation for Starters

  Developing an Inner Life:
                            The Foundation of Daily Meditation

Four weeks, Beginning August 5, 7-9pm
$80 plus text (Lessons in Meditation)

If you are serious about bringing meditation into your daily life, this is the course for you. learn how to develop and maintain a daily practice using proven, universal techniques for relaxing the body, calming restless thoughts, concentrating the mind (the Hong Sau technique of meditation), opening the heart, and expanding inner awareness.
Classes include guided practice and time to discuss your questions.
