Art and Science of Raja YogaThe Art and Science of Raja Yoga

is our flagship course, consisting of fourteen 4-hour sessions in which we explore and experience the heart of how life works and why. Beginning with the history of yoga and the yogic view of what is happening on the planet right now, through a thorough understanding and experience of meditation, yoga postures, energization exercises, breathing exercises, diet, health and well-being, stress reduction...a seemingly endless amount of insight and meaning. Classes are based on the following schedule: 5:45-730pm - Energization Exercises, Yoga Postures, Pranayam, Meditation 7:30-8pm - Shared Vegetarian Meal (prepared by different students each time) 8-9:45pm - Applied Philosophy and Seva Offered twice yearly.

We invite you to join us for this next session. The first part of each class is dedicated to practicing meditation, energization exercises, yoga postures, pranayama and related techniques. We then share a vegetarian meal together before exploring the underlying philosophy. Many students find themselves taking the program over and over as the years pass, as there is so much meaning and understanding available. A deep discount is available for those returning to the program. We look forward to sharing this with you.

How to apply yogic principles to everyday life

About the Instructors

Daiva and Ganga Mata Glazzard are the spiritual directors of Ananda’s activities in the Portland area and have personally lived these teachings for over 25 years. They are dedicated to the daily practice of meditation and have years of experience sharing with others—teaching, counseling, managing businesses, parenting, and spiritual friendship. Their teaching style is a blend of the philosophy of yoga and the practical application of yoga teachings to everyday life.
