The Ananda Community of Portland is located in the Garden Home neighborhood of SW Portland, OR.
The Ananda Portland Community is a 50-unit apartment complex on 5 acres. Residency is open to all who are sincere and supportive of a quiet, peaceful living environment. There are approximately 60 adults and 15 children in residence. There are both community and individual gardens. Residents can grow vegetables, fruit, and flowers; the grounds include ornamental landscaping, large trees, a swimming pool, a nature trail, and a lawn for gatherings and play. A community kitchen is run by residents and provides regular vegetarian dinners each week, open to friends and visitors as well as residents.
