Conscious Living for Conscious Aging
June 7, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday, happening 3 times
Based on Three Pioneering Works
This class series focuses on Swami Kriyananda’s Evening Hospice Precepts and The Final Exam and Ron Pevny’s work on “Conscious Living, Conscious Aging.” Together we will explore how to address our aging process in a conscious way through the guidance of these three works. If you are 50 or older and want to move from adulthood to elderhood consciously then this is the class for you.
Elders are not just older adults. They are those individuals who want to consciously move into this next phase of life. So many adults want to prolong their so-called youth and choose to ignore the next phase in their life. This phase of learning, sharing, mentoring, and having fun!
In order to do this consciously, we have some work to do. Can you say “I have no regrets”? Are you still dealing with less-than-optimal personal relationships? Do you feel you are going to be left behind by your friends, family, culture or community? Or are you just going to keep your head in the sand? Come join us as we explore what it means to become a conscious Elder.
In this class we will:
- Explore new and different ways to address attachments, fears and regrets.
- Support one another through the process of letting go of old unhealthy lifestyles and move towards acceptance of better ways to address stress and negativity in our lives.
- Do a life review.
- Write a Legacy letter.
- Deepen our sense of an Elder Conscious Community.
This is a 3-class series that begins on Wednesday, June 7th. Classes cannot be taken individually, as the theme will build throughout the series.
