We will be watching and listening to the 8 hour event being streamed from Ananda Village, using the large screen in the temple sanctuary.

You are invited to join us for all or part of the day.

Paramhansa Yogananda started the tradition of holding an 8 hour Christmas meditation each year on December 23. He recognized the value of a social Christmas, with good food, gift giving and time with friends and family. However, he emphasized the importance of also having an inner Christmas celebration in the silence of deep meditation where we can commune with Christ in the depth of our hearts.

An 8 hour meditation is a stretch for most people. But the holy vibrations of Christmas, the presence of other devotees, and the grace that comes when we offer our spiritual efforts to God, make these annual meditations wonderful opportunities with great spiritual rewards.

There are scheduled chanting breaks and readings and music to enhance the day.

Come and take part in as much time as you are able. Bring your own meditation gear.

Schedule:

8 am – 4 pm
