Join us for this half-day retreat for families with children ages 4 – 10. This offering, in collaboration with Conscious Families and The Education for Life Outreach Program through Ananda Portland, will include yoga, music, stories, art, nature games as a group as well as a parent workshop with separate kids activities.  

  • Have fun and reconnect as a family through yoga, meditation and time in nature
  • Meet other conscious parents and families in your area 
  • Learn more about holistic, consciousness-based parenting and education 

The parent workshop will include a brief introduction to Conscious Families and the Education for Life approach as applied to family life including a short meditation practice, interactive reflection, discussion and time for questions.


  • Welcome Circle with yoga, songs and games for cultivating connection 
  • Separate parent and child activities 
  • Picnic lunch at the park (BYO lunch) 
  • Sharing Nature activities and games 
  • Closing Circle

Masks will be required for all indoor activities. 

Cost: $30 for each participant (adults and children).

Covid Policy

We do not require vaccination or proof of vaccination to participate. Masks are required indoors and outdoors. Please do not attend if you or anyone in your family is sick or has been sick less than 2 weeks prior to the program start. Cancellation made by the family due to COVID will be fully refunded less 3% processing fee. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation made by the program due to COVID or environmental concerns (air quality from fires) will be 100% refunded. Cancellations and refunds will be honored before September 22nd

Conscious Families is an Education for Life partner program that supports, inspires and connects parents and families seeking to raise happy, balanced children who are prepared to meet life’s challenges. Conscious Families offers online and in-person events, courses, discussion groups, coaching and access to resources to help parents understand and apply the Education for Life approach at home and in their family life. 

About the Facilitator

Erin Vinacco

Erin Vinacco, founding director of Conscious Families, is a certified Education for Life teacher and long time educator with over 13 years of adult, community and K-12 teaching experience. She has worked with various non-profits, schools and community organizations including the Portland Living Wisdom School and most recently at the Living Wisdom School of Nevada City, California.
