SUMMARY:Kirtan
DESCRIPTION:Kirtan is a shared time of devotional chanting\, with short per
 iods of meditation. Chanting is a spiritual practice that opens the heart 
 and allows for an experience of deep inner stillness and connection with t
 he divine presence within.\n\nWe will chant together in our beautiful temp
 le sanctuary and express our devotion with joyful singing. \n\nNo experie
 nce necessary!  We will share the words to the chants\, which are usually
  in English and occasionally in Sanskrit. Our musicians use harmoniums\, g
 uitars and harp.\n\nPlease come and join us for our monthly kirtans. All a
 re welcome. This event is FREE.\n\nWe often have themes for our kirtans an
 d these are coming up: \n\nOctober 9: Lahiri Mahasaya and meditation\n\nN
 ovember 13:  Gratitude and the heart\n\nDecember 4:  Christmas and the I
