Nayaswami Bharati
Nayaswami Bharati discovered Ananda in 1993, while living and teaching in an Eskimo village in rural Alaska.
In 1997, Bharati moved to Portland to co-found Portland Living Wisdom School, based on Swami Kriyananda’s Education for Life philosophy. Bharati came with experience in regular and special education, preschool through high school, in rural and urban settings. In addition, she has served Ananda Portland as minister, lightbearer, and member of the Board of Directors/Trustees.
Bharati holds a Masters in Education from Western Oregon University. At LWS, she taught K-3rd for fifteen years. She is also a leading instructor with Education for Life teacher training.
