Swami Kriyananda never dreamed that he would travel across the country to see Paramhansa Yogananda, and with heartfelt devotion and desperation, say the words, “I want to be your disciple.”
Yogananda accepted the young truth seeker and thus began a lifetime of discipleship and the story behind the founding, the success and the growth of Ananda as a worldwide work based on Yogananda’s teachings.
We celebrate Swami’s discipleship every year, with increasing gratitude and awe for a life of service, devotion and joy that has touched people across the globe.
This evening will include music, chanting, meditation, a flower offering, a group renewal of discipleship vows, video of Swami Kriyananda and the joy of coming together as truth seekers.
