“Mahasamadhi” means the great samadhi, or conscious exit from the physical body that marks the end of an avatar’s incarnation.
Swami Sri Yukteswar left his body on March 9, 1936 and Paramhansa Yogananda left his body on March 7, 1952. Tonight we celebrate and remember these two great avatars with readings, music, chanting, meditation and devotion.
